Gili Trawangan, the largest and most popular of the Gili triplets off coast of Lombok Island in West Nusa Tenggara, has become a ghost island following last weekend's deadly earthquake.

Well-established facilities such as clubs, bakeries, shops, villas, pools and gardens, have been abandoned since the evacuation of all tourists and most of the island's residents.

The Jakarta Globe visited the island, which is a 30-minute boat ride from Teluk Nare Port in North Lombok district, on Thursday (09/08).
